Hi! I'm Andrei, a game programmer. I make interactive entertainment software (games) for different platforms. Right now, I'm a freelancer servicing different clients in the Games Industry. Currently, I seek opportunities in getting a permanent position as a programmer in game studios abroad.
I used to work for Kuju Manila (formerly known as Matahari Studios Philippines) as a Senior Programmer. While I was there, I've been leading and managing a team of talented engineers in bringing games to life. And once in a while, I do some project management tasks when needed.
All I can say is that I love game technology very much. I enjoy creating games and the supporting technologies it needs. I desire learning new platforms and technologies as I go through each phase of my career in the Games Industry.
Of course as a game programmer, I make meta-structures, frameworks, and engine-level programming. In fact, this is what I enjoy doing the most. I love mastering programming languages, algorithms and techniques that relate to interactive entertainment software. Most important of it all -- I really enjoy playing great games!
I've been doing this since I was a kid and I don't see myself stopping.
My biggest goal as of the moment is to be part of a very good project for the next-gen platforms. My long-term goal would be able to manage and handle my own game studio or company, and become a respected figure in the Industry.
I am generally a guy who does almost anything and a big part of me thirsts to learn new skills even beyond the scope of my field. I learn things fast, and can learn things unsupervised.
Not everyone know this about me, but I really like to mingle with people and talk about different things. So for me, I believe having good relationship with people in the workplace is vital to a team's success.
To me, being in the Games Industry is something more than life. It actually gives me purpose.
As for what I do beside programming games? Well, I do like watching movies and TV shows. I also like doing physical stuff like weight-lifting and fitness, and playing tennis or badminton. I have a weakness for good food and gadgets.
